Background
Organic search is how job seekers discover tools at 2am before interviews. An SEO content strategy shows keyword thinking, search intent mapping, and publishable writing — not just a keyword list from Ubersuggest.
Your mission
Build an SEO-led content plan for a career platform targeting student and early-career job seekers in one geography (e.g. Singapore, US, or your campus market).
Deliverables breakdown
Strategy doc
- 10 target keywords — mix of head ("internship resume tips") and long-tail ("how to track job applications spreadsheet alternative"); include monthly volume estimate if tools available.
- Search intent per keyword — informational, navigational, commercial, transactional.
- 4 article outlines — H2/H3 structure, target keyword, internal links to other planned posts.
- Internal linking plan — hub page (pillar) + spoke posts diagram or table.
- On-page checklist — title tag, meta, H1, URL slug pattern you will follow.
Sample post
- One fully drafted article (~800 words) — ready to publish; includes intro hook, actionable steps, conclusion CTA to product waitlist or resource.
Requirements
- Keywords must be plausible for your ICP — not generic "jobs" only.
- Outlines must differ in topic — not four resume variants only.
- Sample post must pass readability scan (short paragraphs, subheads every 150–200 words).
- Cite keyword research tool or Google Trends screenshot in appendix.
Evaluation criteria
- Intent match — content format fits intent (guide vs comparison vs template).
- Internal linking logic — pillar/spoke structure clear.
- Writing quality — sample post is human-edited, not filler AI slop.
- Strategic focus — plan targets employability niche, not all of HR tech.
Tips
- BoardingPass angles: application tracking, agentic search explainer, portfolio challenges for students.
- Include one "jobs to be done" paragraph in strategy doc.
- Avoid keyword stuffing; aim for natural density.
