Background
Investors and accelerators skim one page before deciding whether to read more. Compressing a venture into a single PDF forces clarity on market, model, and milestone — skills useful for strategy decks and grant apps too.
Your mission
Create an investor one-pager (single PDF page) for a venture idea plus a short appendix (max 3 slides) for depth.
One-pager sections (fit on one printed page)
- Headline — company name + 10-word value proposition
- Problem — 2–3 sentences with target customer
- Solution — what you offer; screenshot or product mock if available
- Market — TAM/SAM/SOM or bottom-up estimate with assumptions stated
- Business model — how you make money (subscription, take rate, B2B seats, etc.)
- Traction or milestone — users, revenue, pilots, or next 6-month milestone
- Team — 2–4 people, one line each
- Ask — raise amount or partnership type + use of funds (3 bullets max)
Appendix (optional, max 3 slides)
Choose one focus:
- Financial assumptions (CAC, LTV, 12-month projection), or
- Competitive landscape (2×2 or feature matrix), or
- Product roadmap (2 quarters)
Requirements
- One-page PDF — no bleed to page 2 on one-pager; 11pt minimum body text.
- Appendix slides — separate file or trailing pages clearly labeled.
- Assumptions footnoted — market size or revenue math show source or logic.
- Visual hierarchy — scannable in 60 seconds.
Evaluation criteria
- Completeness — all eight sections present without clutter.
- Specificity — ask and milestone are measurable.
- Honesty — assumptions explicit; no vanity metrics without definition.
- Design — professional enough to forward in an email thread.
Tips
- Use a grid; margins ≥0.5in.
- If pre-revenue, milestone slide beats fake traction.
- SAM should be believably reachable by a startup, not "global education market."
